About Haier refrigerator error codes
Haier is a Chinese appliance maker that sells washers, refrigerators and air conditioners worldwide. In the US it also owns GE Appliances. Haier codes are shown on the display as short letter-and-number codes.
How to read Haier refrigerator codes
Haier fridges with a digital display show faults as a short letter-and-number code in the temperature window. Haier says the codes differ between series, so the same fault can show up under a different code on your model.
Haier treats every refrigerator error code as a service call. Turning the fridge off and on can clear a code for a while, but Haier says it will come back within a few hours if the fault is real. That's a useful test before you book.
The codes here come from Haier's international support pages. Haier-brand appliances in the US are sold and serviced through GE Appliances, a Haier company, and US manuals may list different codes, so check the manual for your model number first.
Of the 5 codes on this page, 0 usually have a simple fix you can do yourself, and 5 usually need a technician. Each guide says which is which, so you don't pay for a service call you don't need, and you don't attempt a repair that isn't safe.

Before you start
- Write down your model number. It's on a sticker, usually inside the door or lid, on the frame, or on the back or side panel. Parts and some code meanings depend on it.
- Try a reset. Unplug the refrigerator or switch off its breaker for 10 minutes. This clears many one-off glitches without tools.
- Check that the doors close fully and the vents inside aren't blocked by food. Give the fridge a few hours after any reset before judging the temperature.
