Dishwasher Error Codes by Brand
Dishwasher codes most often mean a water supply, drainage or leak problem. Clogged filters and kinked hoses cause a large share of them, and both are quick to check.

First checks for any dishwasher code
- Note the exact code and your model number before anything else.
- Unplug the dishwasher or switch off its breaker for 10 minutes, then try again. Many codes are one-off glitches.
- Clean the filter at the bottom of the tub. A clogged filter is behind many drain and wash codes.
Our dishwasher guides cover 84 codes across 5 brands. Each one explains the code in plain English, lists safe steps in order, and says clearly when to call a professional.
