LG Dishwasher OE Error Code
Not draining on LG dishwashers.
The pump didn't get all the water out of the tub. A food-clogged filter or a kinked or blocked drain hose is the most common reason, and a badly installed drain hose can do it too.
Compatible models
LG's dishwasher code guide treats OE as a code any of its models can show and names no particular series.
Also shown as
Some LG parts references list a similar drain fault as DE. Check your manual for the code your model uses.
Difficulty
Start with the safe checks below; a worn part may need replacing.

How to fix LG OE
Clean the filter
Give the water about 30 minutes to cool after a cycle, then unplug the dishwasher. Twist the filter assembly out of the tub floor, scrub it under running water with a soft brush and lock it back in. LG suggests doing this every week or two.
Check the drain hose
LG says to close the water shutoff valve before you handle the drain hose. Under the sink, look for kinks, crushed spots or clogs. Where the hose connects at the sink or disposer, it should be at least 12 in (30 cm) off the floor; any lower and sink water and odors can back up into the dishwasher.
Clear the sink drain or disposer
If the hose runs into a garbage disposer, run the disposer to clear out food. With a newly installed disposer, check that the knockout plug in its dishwasher inlet was knocked out.
Force a drain
Plug the dishwasher back in, turn it on and hold Start for about three seconds. The pump should run for two to three minutes. If water is still sitting above the filter afterward, stop there.
When to call a technician
Water still pooling over the filter after cleaning it and checking the hose means the drain pump probably needs service.
