Frigidaire Refrigerator PF Error Code
Power failure. Here is what it means and how to clear it, easiest fix first.
The refrigerator lost power, from an outage, a surge, a tripped breaker, or a loose plug. It is a notice rather than a fault. After a long outage the high temperature alarm may also come on until the unit cools down again.
Often appears together with H or HI after an extended outage.
How to fix Frigidaire PF
Acknowledge the alert
Press Alarm Reset or Clear Alerts, depending on your model. The refrigerator then goes back to normal operation.
Check the power supply
Make sure the plug is fully seated and the breaker is on. If water is near the outlet, switch off the breaker instead of touching the plug.
Check your food
A closed refrigerator keeps food safe for about 4 hours, and a full freezer for about 48 hours. Throw out perishables that were above 40°F (4°C) for more than 2 hours.
When to call a technician
If PF keeps appearing when your home hasn't lost power, have the outlet and the refrigerator checked.

Can I fix Frigidaire PF myself?
Usually, yes. Most PF problems clear with simple checks you can do at home. Start with the first step above: acknowledge the alert.
What if PF keeps coming back?
A code that returns after a reset and the checks above usually means a part is wearing out. Note when PF appears (which cycle, how often) and have your model number ready; it helps a technician bring the right part on the first visit.
