Miele Dishwasher F11 Error Code
Water left in the wash cabinet (drain fault) on Miele dishwashers.
MieleAll Miele dishwasher codes
Water is sitting in the bottom of the cabinet because it isn't being pumped away. Either the cover over the drain pump (the non-return valve) is seated wrong, or something is jammed in the pump and water is flowing back in.
Compatible models
Miele names G 1000 to G 6000 series dishwashers, and G 7000 and G 5000 Discovery models built from 2019 onward.
Also shown as
The part over the pump has a different name by series. Miele calls it the non-return valve on G 1000 to G 6000 models, and the drain pump cover on G 7000 and G 5000 Discovery models built from 2019 on. The fix works the same way on both.
Difficulty
Start with the safe checks below; a worn part may need replacing.

How to fix Miele F11
Unplug and bail out the water
Switch the dishwasher off and unplug it. Lift out the filter combination (and the lower spray arm on G 7000 and G 5000 Discovery models), then scoop the standing water out with a small cup.
Take off the pump cover and clean it
Press the catch on the non-return valve (or pump cover) inward and tip it in to release it. Rinse it under the tap. Watch for glass splinters, which are hard to spot down in the pump.
Clear the impeller
Push a small sponge into the pump opening to soak up water, and pick out anything you find (cherry pits, label scraps, glass). Turn the impeller with a finger to make sure it spins.
Refit everything and test
Drop the cover back in straight from above until the catch clicks and it sits flush with the edge. Lay the filter flat in the base, refit the spray arm, plug in and run a program to check that the water pumps out.
When to call a technician
If F11 comes back with a clean pump and a correctly seated cover, contact Miele Service.
