Circulation pump stuck or water level fault on Miele dishwashers.
MieleAll Miele dishwasher codes
Miele gives two causes. After weeks or months unused, the circulation pump can dry out and stick; less often, a pressure or heating level switch has failed.

Two more causes from Miele: hollow items that tip over and hold water, and siphoning on raised installations where the drain connection sits lower than the guide path for the lower basket rollers. In that case water can drain out mid-program; Miele's F14 page explains how to open the vent valve on the left tub wall, so follow that page or ask Miele.
Difficulty
Start with the safe checks below; a worn part may need replacing.

How to fix Miele F14
Soak the pump free
Remove the lower spray arm and the filter. Pour about 1 quart (1 liter) of warm water, no hotter than 167°F (75°C), with 3 to 5 drops of rinse aid into the cabinet and leave it 5 minutes. Refit the filter and arm and restart. Repeat 2 or 3 times if needed.
Switch off and restart
Switch the dishwasher off, wait a few seconds, switch it back on and start the program again.
Load cups and bowls upside down
Hollow items that tip and fill up steal water from the cycle. Angle them so they drain.
When to call a technician
If F14 survives the soak and a restart, contact Miele Service to check the level switches.
