Frigidaire Washer EA2 Error Code
Power supply out of range on Frigidaire washers.
FrigidaireAll Frigidaire washer codes
Incoming power is outside the washer's limits. EA2 itself means the supply voltage is too high (above about 130 V); the neighboring codes cover low voltage and the wrong frequency.
Compatible models
Newer Frigidaire front-loaders such as the FAFW4011LB and FAFW4221. The older Affinity ATF7000FE uses EB1 to EB3 instead.
Also shown as
Newer front-loaders use EA1 (frequency), EA2 (high voltage), EA3 (low voltage), EA5 and EAE. Older Affinity models use EB1, EB2 and EB3 for the same frequency and voltage checks.
Difficulty
Try the basic checks, but the usual fix is a technician's job.

How to fix Frigidaire EA2
Plug in directly
Unplug the washer and plug it straight into its own wall outlet, without an extension cord or power strip.
Look for wider power problems
Notice whether lights flicker or other appliances act up. If they do, the problem is likely the house supply.
Reset after the power checks
Restore power after 5 minutes off and run a short program to check.
When to call a technician
Power trouble showing up elsewhere in the house is a job for an electrician. If the supply is normal and EA2 persists, a technician should check the control board.
