Door lock circuit fault on Frigidaire washers.
FrigidaireAll Frigidaire washer codes
The control found a fault in the door lock circuit. On several Frigidaire front-loaders E48 specifically means the board reads the door lock's sensing circuit as closed when it shouldn't be. The lock assembly, its wiring or the control board can be responsible.
Compatible models
Frigidaire front-load washers such as the FAFW4011LB, FAFW4221 and Affinity ATF7000FE. The FFTW4120SW top-loader uses Fd for lid lock failure instead.
Also shown as
Related front-load codes: E47 (door lock circuit reads open during spin) and E4A (door lock sensing problem). E43 and E45 also relate to the door lock on many models, but some service sheets list them as general control board faults, so check your model's tech sheet. Some top-load models show Fd for a failed lid lock.
