LG Refrigerator Er CF Error Code
Condenser fan error. Here is what it means and how to clear it, easiest fix first.
The condenser fan, which cools the compressor and condenser at the back or bottom of the fridge, is not running or is blocked. Without it the compressor works harder and cooling drops.
How to fix LG Er CF
Reset the power
Unplug the refrigerator for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in.
Give it room to breathe
Check that nothing is pushed against the back of the fridge or blocking the lower front grille, such as bags, boxes or a rug. Clear the area so air can move freely.
When to call a technician
LG lists Er CF as a repair code. If it returns after a reset, request service; the fan sits next to high-voltage and sealed-system parts that only a technician should handle.

Frequently asked questions
What does Er CF mean on a LG refrigerator?
The condenser fan, which cools the compressor and condenser at the back or bottom of the fridge, is not running or is blocked. Without it the compressor works harder and cooling drops.
Can I fix LG Er CF myself?
Only the basic checks. You can safely try the steps above, but Er CF usually points to a part or fault that needs a technician.
What if Er CF keeps coming back?
A code that returns after a reset and the checks above usually means a part is wearing out. Note when Er CF appears (which cycle, how often) and have your model number ready; it helps a technician bring the right part on the first visit.
