LG Dryer F0 Error Code
Lint filter not detected. Here is what it means and how to clear it, easiest fix first.
The dryer cannot detect the lint filter in its slot, so it stops to avoid running without one. Running without the filter lets lint flow straight into the duct and blower, which raises the fire risk. Most of the time the filter is just not pushed fully in.
Also shown as FO (Filter Out), IF, or a flashing INSERT FILTER message. On models that detect the filter with a magnet, a missing magnet or damaged filter frame can trigger it.
How to fix LG F0
Reseat the filter
Pull the lint filter out, clean it, and slide it all the way back into its housing until it sits flush.
Check the filter itself
Look for cracks, a damaged frame, or a missing magnet if your filter has one. Replace a damaged filter with the correct LG part for your model.
When to call a technician
If a good filter is fully in place and the message stays on, the filter sensor needs service.

Frequently asked questions
What does F0 mean on a LG dryer?
The dryer cannot detect the lint filter in its slot, so it stops to avoid running without one. Running without the filter lets lint flow straight into the duct and blower, which raises the fire risk. Most of the time the filter is just not pushed fully in.
Can I fix LG F0 myself?
Usually, yes. Most F0 problems clear with simple checks you can do at home. Start with the first step above: reseat the filter.
What if F0 keeps coming back?
A code that returns after a reset and the checks above usually means a part is wearing out. Note when F0 appears (which cycle, how often) and have your model number ready; it helps a technician bring the right part on the first visit.
