Maytag Dryer PF Error Code
Power failure interrupted the cycle on Maytag dryers.
The dryer lost power partway through a cycle and is letting you know the load didn't finish. A brief outage, a breaker that tripped and reset, or a loose plug can all do it.

Also shown as

How to fix Maytag PF
Resume or cancel
Touch and hold Start to pick up where the cycle stopped. To start fresh instead, press Power (Stop on some models) to wipe the display.
Look at the panel
If there was no outage, check the breaker panel for a tripped dryer breaker. On an electric dryer, check both halves of the double breaker.
Inspect the cord
When PF keeps coming back, unplug the dryer and look at the plug and cord. A loose fit in the outlet, scorch marks or a crushed cord means the cord needs replacing before the dryer is used again.
When to call a technician
Frequent PF codes with steady house power point to the cord, outlet or circuit. An electrician should check the outlet; a technician can replace a damaged cord or terminal block.
