MideaAll Midea air conditioner codes
The sensor on the outdoor coil (T3) is reading open or shorted. The board uses it to watch coil temperature in cooling and to start defrost in heating, so the outdoor unit stops without it.
Compatible models
Newer Midea split systems (old code F2). Model numbers aren't published for it.
Also shown as
Shown as F2 on older Midea mini-splits.

How to fix Midea EC 52
Clear the outdoor coil
With the power off, clear leaves, snow and ice from the outdoor coil, then restore power. A sensor plug that briefly lost contact sometimes recovers.
Note the timing
Tell the technician whether the code appears at startup or after the system has been running. It helps them decide between the sensor and the board.
When to call a technician
If EC 52 comes back, book a technician to test the coil sensor and replace it.
